Accessibility
If it is privacy you want during the warmer months then some quieter beaches often involve a longish walk and a climb over rocks. Make sure your location is accessible for everyone involved. If your caterer needs to deliver your food, drinks and cake, are they able to? If you are having any guests, are they able to get to your bohemian Ceremony space easily? Are you wanting to use any props? Are they heavy? Your beach or sea cave will need to be safely accessed from cliff paths at low tide. Your effort will, however, be rewarded with a ceremony that only a handful of couples will have had.
Clothing & decor
Candles, ribbons, feathers and shells can all be blown away in a strong wind. Fruits, cakes, flowers and bouquets may wilt in hot weather too. For Summer, choose lighter fabrics, shorter length dresses and cotton suits. For Winter, choose warmer fabrics, shawls and cover-ups. Whatever the season, always choose a dress/suit that is easy to move or climb around in or carry it down onto the beach and change after the climb.
Veils & Flower crowns
Veils are not always practical when walking or climbing so flower crowns are an excellent choice but veils that are easily attached can look great for adding drama when then wind blows. Use practical footwear for safety. Heels are not suitable for your walking. Don’t forget to bring along sunscreen and bug spray to protect your skin. If you would like to use confetti, choose biodegradable flowers as a sustainable eco-friendly option.
