Our reason to elope to Boho Cornwall Elopements

We chose to have an boho cornwall elopement because we wanted a day of no fuss or stress that would be truly personal and totally focused out our committing to each other. We booked and sorted everything in an afternoon after ensuring that our immediate family were able to attend. No months of planning and no worrying about trying to please everyone.

We love Cornwall

We chose Cornwall because we have happy memories of times there. We love the atmosphere, the wildness and the romance of the place. A dramatic backdrop to our wedding! Lily & Alan elope to Cornwall

Enchanted Brides reflected what we love about Cornwall. The photographs in your portfolio reflected the atmosphere of  Cornwall, the romance and its  untamed nature whilst showing the joy and happiness of the couples being photographed in whatever situation chosen. We also thought the professionalism of the photographs was excellent and captured exactly what we wanted for our wedding.

Our Favourite Memories
All our day was so memorable. From waking up and getting ready, to the party we had later. Our favourite memories were the joy, laughter and happiness  that seemed to surround everyone throughout the day and meant so much to us. We still speak about that element and Tom and Alex still say that they hadn’t been to any wedding where everyone was so happy and had so much fun. Saying our vows to each other was the most important part of the day for us  and pledging our own personal commitment with our own words.

Advice & Tips

Our advice to other couples who are thinking of eloping is that the day is about you and your committing to each other and NOT about anyone else and what they want/ expect and lots of guests (unless that’s what you really want). Don’t be pressurised by other people.  The intimacy, romance and no fuss of an elopement enables you to focus on each other which at the end of the day should be what getting married is all about.

Favourite things to do

Eating – The Hub at St Ives. Great atmosphere and liked by all the family for an informal meal. Our Favourite Beach – Norcott Mouth. Dramatic scenery.  Unspoilt  and off the tourist route. Favourite tourist attraction – St Michaels Mount.

Planning your Cornwall Elopement

Our top  priorities in planning our elopement were that whilst having the personal small intimate wedding that we wanted we would be to able to spend time together as a family (something we’d never been able to do before properly). Because of that we booked  a large house with an indoor pool at St Ives so we could all be together yet still go out, not have to drive but have  beaches within walking distance.
The lockdown did affect what we planned and were able to do. As we couldn’t be sure what shops would be open the brides flowers, head dress and button holes were all done by hand by the bride, catering was done by ourselves at the house and we weren’t able to book a hairdresser/ makeup so all the female guests did their own so all the family were involved in the preparation for the day. That made it so much more economical and added to the fun and enjoyment.

You made our day do special

The day went so quickly It would be nice if we could have a re-run as we enjoyed the day so much. We were quite anxious about the photographs as we both hate the stilted wedding photos of couples poised and looking uncomfortable. Jo and Patrick put us all at ease and they reflect what the whole week was like – us all having fun and enjoying ourselves. You made our day do special knowing that the photos we have help us remember our day forever.
