Is natural & adventourus majority of the couples we photograph hate having their picture taken, which is why many couples tend to elope in the first place as they don’t like a big fuss. We have a very laid back approach and live for natural and candid moments. We love laughter, smiles, tears and real emotions, rather than stiff formal poses and staged photography. I hope by looking through our portfolio you can see this come across in our work. We try and capture each couples personality, documenting your day in the most authentic way.

How we work – silent & discret
We work well in a team, we are able to shoot easily with 4 cameras, 4 different camera focal lengths and from 2 different angles, without missing a single moment or emotion, capturing photography and video easily and effortlessly. Also our cameras are 100% SILENT, you will never hear the camera click once, making it perfectly discreet during an intimate elopement. You are essentially getting 2 photographers for the price of 1 and also have the added bonus and security that if for any reason one of us was sick you would still have one of us to cover your day.

Practical Advice when you eloping
Here you can find many advice for many small important things for your elopement day
What is our favourite outdoor ceremony location?
It is really hard to have a favourite location. Cornwall has so many beautiful spots for us to choose from. High up on our list and one of our personal favourites has got to be the Ancient Stone Circles that surround us in our local landscape. These sacred spaces are so perfect and atmospheric for a magical Pagan Ceremony. We also love the idea of a barefoot couple saying their vows at sunset as the tide laps around their feet. We can recommend many dreamy locations which will match your vision and you can choose from a selection of old mines, sea caves, moss covered forests and secret coves and caves to name a few.
Best Time To Take Wedding Photos?
The best elopement pictures are captured during the softer golden light which occurs one hour before sunset. We recommend planning your Elopement Ceremony to finish at least an hour minimum before this time. For example if your wedding is in October and it gets dark at 6pm we suggest having your ceremony at 3:30pm and your couple pictures from 4:30–6. If you want to visit more locations for your couple shoot, then we recommend starting the ceremony even earlier to allow time to travel between locations. It is extremely important to allow time for driving and walking as most locations in Cornwall are often a good 10 minute walk or longer from the nearest car park
How Many Hours Should You Hire For?
Generally we say the best coverage is between 2.5-4 hours. For outdoor Elopements we suggest 2-3 hours. This is enough to include your ceremony and your couple shoot. If you decide to use an Wedding & Elopement Venue or are having any guests then we suggest 4 hours is best.
Wearing hiking boots or waterproof boots such as Doc Martins is recommended for your couple pictures out on location. Wellies and sandals have no grip and are not safe for the uneven cliff paths or for climbing over rocks. We don’t want you to get injured or sprain your ankle. Boots can look cool and stylish with wedding dresses. You can always go barefoot on the beach and the rocks if you have chosen a beach location. Also choosing a dress that you can move in is great for comfort and ease and being able to get to trickier locations if you want to access quieter beaches and coastal locations. For men, practical shoes and clothing is also imperative. Bringing along a waterproof coat or a warm shawl or jacket is helpful for our changing seasons and for keeping you warm and dry.
KIND WORDS – REVIEWS
I don’t even know where to start, I could not be more thrilled that we had Jo along on this ride to capture our elopement journey. As soon as I saw her portfolio I knew we had to work with Jo and I was in touch before booking our date to make sure she would be available. We loved her pictures but we knew we’d found the right person to bring with us for the day as soon as we started corresponding. When you’re choosing such an intimate and private way to get married it’s so important that the people who are around you bring the right vibe and energy. Jo brought such a sense of fun and adventure and the whole experience was such a blast! It was much more like spending an afternoon with a friend. We felt so laid back and comfortable in her presence and it really comes through in the relaxed and natural shots that she managed to capture. Our photos are absolutely stunning! I just cannot stop staring at them; they are truly enchanted and I can’t believe that’s us looking so otherworldly and like we’re caught up in a rugged wild fairytale. Thank you so so much Jo we will truly treasure the photographs and memories of creating them for a lifetime!
